Quiet. Peaceful. Free parking.
I love bringing my family here year round. The shoreline has gentle waves and the beach itself is peppered with an assortment of different colored rocks. My kids love walking the beach in search of a new beautiful rock for their nightstands, or simply as a craft project to paint them. Further from the shore is a historical preserve that has a long paved path down the center of it which is perfect for a brisk walk or even a jog. The paved way is wide enough that joggers don’t have to worry about dodging around those who prefer a leisurely stroll. Sun sets look amazing here.
One of the most peaceful places on the island. The area is always kept clean, safe is amazing even the patrols. Great place to get your morning walk in or get away from the every day world
I went and got the fresh spring water, which is one of the only places on Long Island that has a accessible fresh spring. It’s a little ways down the walking path. Definitely well worth it. Had it tested and it’s perfect! Only 12 ppm. Not even reverse osmosis water is that low. Oh and tasted delicious!
