First time I go there my husband was running that day so I went with him. I want to go back to go walk or run. It looks pretty nice.

great trail for some mountain biking. some parts are harder than others and it’s indicated by the signs which is great. took about an hour to complete the whole trail with one break if you do all the difficult parts. beware of hikers. if you’re biking the trail try to enjoy it and take it in, don’t rush just to complete it.

I revisited Stillwell Woods Preserve after first stumbling upon it during a pandemic hike on the Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt Trail. This time, I hiked from Cold Spring Harbor, enjoying the semi empty trail, just as I like it. The highlight was the open green field, where I saw bikers and families flying remote-controlled aircraft. Despite a few wrong turns on the shared bike trails, it felt like exploring a forest. With so many trails, you can visit multiple times and still discover new spots.

Nice park from hiking perspective as long as you watch out for bikers. Central meadow and trails around it were most notable for my hike. There is plenty of parking near athletic fields all along their perimeter.

The mountain bike trails are amazing!
Green, blue, and black trails easy, medium, expert. I go with my 6 and 9 year old boys and they love it. Also go solo on Sunday mornings
