Located at Hicks St. and Rapelye St in Brooklyn, NY, DiMattina Playground is a small, maritime-themed park that offers a welcoming spot for families in the neighborhood. The playground stands out with its two full jungle gyms styled as boats, baby swings with supportive high backs, and a giant compass inlay—making it a hit for children. Although not exclusively a dog park, it is a convenient green spot for quick pet walks for families visiting the area for play time.
This Brooklyn playground is known for its cleanliness and the availability of restrooms, making it easier for families and pet owners alike. Its compact size means that it’s best suited for short visits or casual outings. Street parking can be limited on busy days, but the park’s charm and child-friendly amenities make it a go-to spot for locals. Please note that, based on current available information, there are no designated off-leash areas, fenced-in dog runs, or specific dog amenities at this park.
It’s a small playground with swings and couple of slides. If you drive don’t expect to find a parking spot around. The playground is located between Rapelye St & Woodhull St and hard to notice
Fun playground! They have excellent baby swings with a high back so you can put smaller babies in there and it supports them. Watch out for teenagers hanging out there on weekday afternoons smoking.
Great maritime themed playground. Very clean and there are restrooms. Not huge but two full jungle gyms that look like boats and a giant compass inlay on the ground. I found parking nearby , but it was a Sunday. There is another playground across the street as well, but it was closed. Near the highway.
Not always properly cleaned & maintained facility, nice small quaint playground for young kids to play if your in the area & need to kill some time with kids & wanna have them burn some energy & run around for a little while.
As evidenced by two inscriptions of the Cool S within the playground you may rest assured your people are always close.
