🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Nestled in a quieter area of Lindenhurst, Zahn’s Park is a community spot where dog owners and families can enjoy time outdoors together. While not specifically a dog park, this Lindenhurst location is noted for its peaceful atmosphere that sets it apart from busier local parks. Its off-the-main-road setting helps keep noise levels low, making it an attractive option for visitors seeking a calmer environment for their children and pets.
The park features a playground and accessible green space, with garbage pails available throughout to help maintain cleanliness. However, some visitors have noted issues with fence maintenance and occasional litter, so extra care is advised, especially for children and adventurous pets. The playground includes a range of fun activities for kids and is designed with safety in mind, being fairly low to the ground and not overly crowded.
Not many options for children but its a cute little park.
Pretty quiet area. Playground is very nice and has a lot of little activities packed in there. Fairly low to the ground even at its high points, so it isn’t very dangerous.
nice place except nobody picks up dog waste !!!! so easy to do and garbage pails are everywhere. you know who you are so clean up your dogs mess. Don’t be a F@#%!ing PIG.
I like going here because most times is quieter than some of the other parks in the area where the kids are all running around and crazy. Its not on a busy street which is nice.
My complaint is….a piece of the fence in the back party of the playground had been cut away. And now it’s completely opened to an industrial/business area which obviously doesn’t seem very safe to me. Especially since I have a special needs child who tends to run away from me. Other than that, I enjoy this park very much and so do my kids.
Vapes, cigarettes and blunts found in this playground while kids were playing. Rear fence is broken used to trespass when playground is “closed”
