What a great place to walk. I love the fact that it’s a true trails with different directions of trails. Long distance. Love nature!!
Great place for a quick hike or run with or without your dog (I took mine). Not sure about some of the other reviews, but it was very clean, extremely well-marked if you know how to read trail blazes, and easy on the feet. Will be making this part of my normal cycle of dog walks.
The park has been one of my favorite spots to visit for a very long time. Walking trails very dog friendly and very easy access. The fact that they named it after a very good friend of mine who passed away a little while ago makes it even more precious
Great place to go walking.
Lots of hills so it gives your leg muscles a workout!
Dog friendly!
Plenty of parking
Many trails!
Negatives:
Sometimes people ride their quads in there and the paths are narrow you could collide!
Sometimes during summer, you get bit by bugs or mosquitoes!
Make sure to put lavender a d tea tree oil on yourself for a natural insect repellent.
It gets slippery when the leaves fall so be careful going up or down the hills.
Nice exercise for you and your dog. But I would come with an additional persons. While walking through the paths you may encounter persons w no dog just sitting there and may be alarmed and not expecting. Overall nice
