The staff are friendly & helpful. You can tell they genuinely care for the animals.
The animals that are sheltered there are health & happy.
We traveled nearly an hour to go to the shelter to meet this little misfit(she’s settled in nicely).
The staff were fantastic and I loved the facility, as did all the cats there. Best shelter I’ve ever been to, hands down. Even if you aren’t sure adoption is right for you and your family, swing by and see who’s lounging around the cat room. I’m sure they’d love someone to play with!
We were able to get a same day appointment to go meet a couple pups we were interested in. The staff were all friendly, helpful and pleasant to work with. They made the whole process simple and painless as they do same day adoptions so we were able to leave with our newest addition, our sweet girl Maddie (Finch) that afternoon within an hour of arriving between the meet n greet, paperwork and everything.
I have visited this shelter several times over the years. The staff are friendly and it is truly is obvious that they care about the animals there. Great place to find a pet. These animals are so grateful to be adopted and have a home/family. Sadly, all over this country shelters are either full or overflowing, mostly due to owners who let their cats and dogs have litter, after litter, after litter, never having them get neutered. There are more pets in need of homes then there are people who are able to provide them with a good home. One of the worst problems are the puppy mills. Beware if you go to a pet shop selling multiple breeds of dogs in a big volume and you can’t see the puppies’ mother or tour the breeding facility they came from and the owner/owners are edgy /agitated with any level of questions. Pet shops can be a “pretty front” for an ugly behind the scenes business. Thank You to Franklin County Animal Shelter, and other shelters all over this country, who are fighting the good fight and are providing places of refuge to animals who are often the victims of neglect, exploitation, overbreeding, abuse and abandonment. For a small town animal shelter, FCAS is great!
We are so proud to have this for our furry friends. Wonderful and informative staff. They deserve all the support we can give them. ❤️
