Fort Missoula Canine Campus is one of the top places for dog lovers in Missoula, Montana. This expansive dog park offers plenty of open space, allowing your pet to run, play, and socialize freely in a safe environment. The park features two separate pens: one for small dogs and another for larger breeds, ensuring safety and comfort for dogs of all sizes. With double-gated entrances, you can relax knowing your pup is secure while enjoying the outdoors.
Known for its friendly community of owners and playful dogs, the Canine Campus is a favorite spot for locals and newcomers alike. The park provides seating areas with tables and umbrellas (offering limited shade) and conveniently places poop bag stations near the entrance. While it may get a bit marshy during snowmelt and there aren’t yet mature trees for consistent shade, the park stands out as an excellent, off-leash destination for dogs to burn off energy and make new friends in Missoula. Ample space means it rarely feels crowded, making it the perfect spot after a day of exploring Missoula’s pet-friendly trails or enjoying the city’s dog-friendly hiking spots.
Great dog park with friendly dogs and people. I like the fact they put #2 bags near the entrance. The park can get a bit marshy in the winter months when the snow melts, but otherwise a great place.
It was alright, wish there was a doggy fountain. All the dogs were vibing though!
Large area with plenty of room for our dog to play. Double gate to keep dogs from accidentally escaping. That are two or three table things to set your stuff, but no food is allowed include the park. Had a great time there and we will bring our dog again.
Favorite Dog Park in Missoula, our dogs tire out quicky here in the best way. Plenty of space to run and play. There’s enough room where the dogs are so spaced out, so any aggression or confrontation between dogs is extremely rare. There’s enough room where it’s never even felt crowded. There’s 2 pens, one for little dogs, for larger breeds, helps little ones from getting scared or harassed by larger, more playful pups. We’re currently renting an apartment, so I’m very glad to have this so close by so the dogs can feel like they have a giant yard to run around in.
My dog loved it and the dogs we encountered played well. The owners were attentive. I liked that I could let her run without worrying about her chasing deer. There is no shade, except for a few tables with umbrellas, but someday the trees will provide it.
