Located in the heart of Sunapee, New Hampshire, Tilton Park offers a spacious, dog-friendly environment with plenty of room for your canine companion to roam. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and ample romping space, this park is a favorite for local dog owners seeking pet-friendly trails and scenic walks. The park features open grassy areas perfect for off-leash adventures, and doggy bags are conveniently provided at the entrance, making cleanup easy for responsible pet owners.
Tilton Park stands out with its modern playground equipment for children, a well-maintained nine-hole disc golf course, and inviting trails mowed into the grass, offering a diverse experience for families and pets alike. While the entrance can be a bit tricky to find, visitors appreciate the easy parking and the peaceful environment, making it an ideal destination for dog walks, family outings, or quiet relaxation surrounded by the natural beauty of Sunapee.
Nice small park with trails in the grass mowed so that you’re not walking through the tall grass unless your disk goes of course… I’m glad that they mowed the grass just wish it was more frequently and more wide spread. For me it was hard to find the entrance or parking so I wish that was labeled better but the park is easy to spot from the road.
9 hole disc golf course is great for beginners and experienced. It has some easy holes and some challenging holes. The course was well maintained. The tees could use some work as there was some exposed roots and muddy spots. Some tees were a little confusing on where the basket was. Other than that it was a great course and will definitely play it more often now!
Facilities look like they have potential but the clientele in the park is awful. Brought a toddler to go on the swings but unfortunately there were two teenagers smoking on the swings; there’s no air movement in the park so the smoke is just filling the play park. I do not recommend this park to young families. We were going to avoid the smokers by going down the hill and there was a man with a machete hacking some bushes looking for a disc. Not kid friendly.
The entrance isn’t obvious until you are literally right at it, so look carefully! It’s a really nice park, with modern playground equipment. There is a section for small kids who aren’t ready for the full size stuff as well.
The disc golf course is well done, with some easy holes and some more challenging. It’s well marked and easy to find the tees.
Great large playground with area for older kids and smaller kids. Easy parking and not crowded at all. In the winter great hill for sledding woods are large, and Frisby golf is available but you must bring your own Frisbees. Dog’s are allowed here and there is plenty of romping space. Doggy bags are available when you walk in.
