Located in the heart of Columbia at 2220 Gregg St., Page Ellington Park features a spacious, fenced-in dog park that offers an inviting environment for both pets and their owners. This open, dog-friendly park is popular among locals for its large area covered with wood chips, minimizing mud and keeping pups clean while they romp with friends. The park also boasts scenic pet-friendly trails and a walking track, making it a great option for those looking to enjoy some outdoor activity alongside their furry companions in Columbia, South Carolina.
Dog owners will appreciate the convenience of multiple water fountains, plentiful doggie bags for waste cleanup, and accessible parking. The park is wheelchair accessible and features two gazebos, providing shelter and shade, although some users mention these areas could be better maintained. While there isn’t a dedicated small-dog or large-dog area, the park is well-regarded for its friendly, social dog community, balls and toys, and the open space perfect for gatherings or picnics. If you’re searching for a vibrant, centrally located, and pet-friendly space in Columbia, Page Ellington Park is well worth a visit.

Nice addition to the Bull Street District with a track for walking. Sadly the sprinklers were on today midday.
Had a little trouble finding the dog park. It’s NOT located on Harden Extension Rd. It’s located at 2220 Gregg St., Columbia SC. It’s a very nice big fenced in park. It has wood chips throughout making it nicer than all plain dirt. No division for big dogs or small dogs though. But all the dogs played well together and were very friendly. There are plenty of balls and toys for all to play with. Two water fountains and plenty doggie bags to clean up after your pet. Our dog enjoyed watching the others play. And getting to know some of them. I would definitely come back.
Beautiful open space. I love the area. However , I personally feel like some areas of the park are cleaner than others. The park has two beautiful Gazebos located to the rear of the park that are perfect for picnics or small intimate gatherings but they aren’t well kept. Which breaks my heart. Gazebos are limited in the area. I really wish they would beautify the area and make it a bit more appealing to the eye.
Enjoy walking my dog here and seeing the wildlife.
