Tofte Park is a tranquil haven located off Highway 61 in the scenic town of Tofte, Minnesota—perfect for locals and visitors seeking a peaceful spot to enjoy pet-friendly trails and stunning Lake Superior views. While not a dedicated dog park, its natural beauty and relaxing atmosphere make it a favorite for dog owners looking to explore pet-friendly hiking and spacious outdoor areas with their furry friends.
The park features a rustic wooden pavilion ideal for picnics, walking trails suitable for all ages, and direct access to the lakeshore, giving your pup plenty of space to roam on-leash. Practical amenities are limited, but there’s a small restroom and open grassy areas, making it a wonderful stop for a leashed stroll. Just across from the AmericInn, Tofte Park is easily accessible and provides a tranquil place to relax, soak up the North Shore air, and enjoy time outdoors with your dog.
Great park! We stopped here on our way up the shore with adults and kids. Great little park, perfect rocks to go walk around on for little kiddos and a small bathroom. Love the pavilion that’s made from all wood! It was perfect for lunch. We couldn’t find metal or hardware used on it – super impressive!

Nice park. Directly across from the AmericInn we stayed at. Nice to be able to walk directly to the water.

I don’t think it’s possible to give a park a bad review, not when they are this pretty! The best part? The walk is nice and it was manageable for everyone in our group. The worst part? Not as much to see as other parks but it’s still nice.
