Happy Tails Dog Park in Plymouth, Minnesota

Happy Tails Dog Park is a popular, community-loved spot for dog owners in Plymouth, Minnesota. This dog park offers a unique setup, transforming between an enclosed baseball field during the winter and an ice rink in the summer, ensuring a safely fenced area for your furry friends to play year-round. Although the space is on the smaller side—especially compared to larger, open dog parks in the Twin Cities—there’s plenty of room for your dog to get exercise, play fetch, and socialize with other pups. The easy visibility and modest fence height make it particularly suited for smaller dogs or owners who like to keep a close eye on their pets.

Happy Tails features tables and seating spaces for owners and guests, clean grounds, and is noted for staying well-lit thanks to the adjacent ice rink lighting—even after dark! Love this dog park! Its inside an old ice rink, so it’s not too big, but big enough for some long tennis ball runs! Nice and quiet!

Pretty nice little dog park. Not large enough for my greyhound/malinois mix who likes to sprint and run. There’s not much room for dogs to run away from another dog being too aggressive which led mine to jump the side trying to get away. The side fence isn’t much higher than 4 feet since it’s a hockey rink.

First time at Happy Tails! It’s mostly for small dogs given the smaller space an lower fence (3 foot?). I did have my large lab/Pyrenees mix who played well with other small dogs. Good space if you don’t want your dog out of your sight and don’t want to visit a crowded dog park.

I just started bringing my puppy to this dog park. In the winter the baseball field is used and then in the summer the ice rink is used. The baseball field is all enclosed and has plenty of room for the dogs to run! There are some tables and some other things that dogs can jump up on. The few times we have been it has been very clean and pretty well attended! And even with it getting dark super early the ice rink lights hit the dog park, so you can still see even when dark!
