Great place for dogs to go and run around freely without needing a leash. Just wish they could make a section for small dogs that might not feel safe around such bigger dogs. Add that and this place would be amazing.

Best dog park in Providence. Been taking my dog here since he was a puppy, almost 7 years ago! Huge area for dogs to play as well as having donated toys, balls, and chairs for the humans to sit on. Always well maintained by the community. My dog and I love Franciscan (Bell St) park!!! 🙂

Also know as Bell Street Dog Park.
Large park space in the middle of Providence. It’s a decent park, but needs some help from the city.
Water is available from a spigot. Trash and bags were available. The grass has been a lot worn down though and needs some revitalizing – in this dry heat, it’s mostly dust. Either mulch or some grass maintenance needs to be done.
Lots of shade from the trees. Hillside is included in the fencing, but it does get close to the highway at the bottom.
Dogs were all well-behaved.

Bumped into one of the volunteers who was cleaning up trash from “overnight users” (not dog owners)

Always a great group of dogs. Plenty of space to roam and there is fresh drinking water available. Stocked with tennis balls for the fetch lovers and a nice paved walking path to keep owners active.
