I was surprised that there was a new playground for the kiddos. My children enjoyed this park a lot since the new playground was installed. It’s rarely ever packed unless it’s a weekend, but even then, it is not too bad. They offer picnic tables, 2 playgrounds, one with swings, and a walking trail that leads behind the park to the other side of the road where shumperts’ grocery is located. The park does have cameras, and a police station is located across from it. Personally I think it’s a nice area for all to enjoy. Only issue I have ever had which I believe needs to be addressed, is one time I had taken my children and their friends to the park for a picnic and placed out our food on the picnic table closest to the play ground and then walked to the larger playground to watch them play safely. Within the first 30 minutes of being there, someone had come and wiped out all of our picnic food and the giving box that’s located there. We did make a report as soon as it happened but we were not going to press charges because obviously someone needed it more than us but needless to say it cut our time short as the children got hungry and were anticipating the picnic. Other than that, I have had no complaints and think this is an awesome option for a nice stroll or letting the kiddos play! It’s very well kept and I have never seen trash anywhere besides maybe a forgotten jacket lol.
Great park. Shaded so the equipment isn’t hot . Plenty of equipment for a lot of kids.
The Pelion park is nice it includes a few picnic tables that are covered and a play area. It connects too a paved walking path that makes visiting different areas and seeing Pelion easy. A memorial too soldiers from all branches of the military is along the path. It is also very close to the Pelion police station which personally I liked.
Great spot to take the kids or just go for a walk located in the heart of town and next to the police department so very safe location and usually not too crowded highly recommended there’s 2 big play sets along with like a mile of sidewalk to walk fitted with benches and emergency call centers on each end…….
Quaint little park with two different playgrounds for the kids to play on. There’s a covered shelter, plenty of benches for seating, and restroom facilities on-site. There’s also a paved walking trail that sits on what used to be an old railroad track. The town’s police station is located across the street. My girls and I will definitely be visiting here again in the future.
