McLeod Park Dog Park, located on Fowler Farm Rd in Florence, South Carolina, offers a conveniently fenced-in area for your dogs to play off-leash. This dog park is known for its decent size and varied terrain, offering interesting spots for dogs to explore and enjoy. Pet owners will appreciate the natural shade throughout much of the park, creating a comfortable spot during those warm South Carolina days.
The park is equipped with a few essential amenities including benches, a picnic table, and free potty bags and waste bins, making it easy for owners to relax while their pets play. While the terrain may get rough following rain due to washout, the park remains a popular, pet-friendly destination in Florence. Keep in mind there is no dedicated water fountain, so be sure to bring your own water for your dog. Families with children will also find this park suitable, as it’s kid-friendly, but note that the site feels a bit remote and is situated on a steep hill.
No water and in a remote area.
Decent small fenced in dog park. There are a few benches as well as a picnic table on a concrete slab. Potty bags and trash can available free. However, there is no water acess, so bring your own. The terrain can get a little rough due to rain wash out, but other than that it’s a decent dog park.
On the plus side, it’s a descent size and certainly has interesting spots for dogs to explore. It’s also relatively shaded, which is nice.
The minuses: Google tried to take me through private property to get here, I’m sure that residence hates that happening all the time. It’s on the side of a very steep hill. You’re not going to be throwing the ball around unless you want to climb down and get it. Finally, it’s verging on both gross and scary. Not the worst, but I wouldn’t come back.
