We were there for a softball practice. Overall the field was good. The grass really did need to be mowed. Field #2 needed to have the trees behind the bleachers trimmed.

This park is the park I grew up playing softball at. It’s a great park for sports. It is located on the Wolf Creek Greenway, behind Food Lion and named after my great uncle, Ott Goode.

Park at Goode Park and walk the Wolf Creek Greenway trail up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, just under 3 miles from Goode Park and back. It is a lovely, peaceful outdoor experience. The trail is not paved, but is relatively well-maintained. It is an easy walk for most people, only a few minor hills. Stop and say hello to the kitty cats and horses along the way. You might even see Wilbur and Piglet!

This is a really sweet park. My Lab loves the stream! If you walk over the bridge and turn right you’ll be on the wolf creek trail. From there you’ll find a really pretty farm and a cat colony. Oh, and it’s nicely shaded!
