Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Indian Creek Park, located at 3162 Lenox Rd NE in Atlanta, offers a tranquil, pet-friendly spot for relaxers and local dog owners. Known for its towering old-growth pine trees and dense bamboo groves, this modest park provides an escape from the urban bustle of Buckhead. Its natural landscaping gives pups plenty to sniff, although it is more of a rugged green space than a fully landscaped dog park.
This dog park in Atlanta, Georgia is wheelchair accessible and good for families with children. While it currently lacks some amenities of larger parks—such as clear dog enclosures or modern play equipment—the unique setting with its bamboo thickets and shaded areas makes it a peaceful choice for dog-friendly hiking and casual strolls. The park is still in development and may not be ideal for those seeking a highly maintained, large-scale dog park experience.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. wouldn’t be surprised if it would be used to dump a corpse.
The city of Atlanta thinks that by putting up a cute sign in the (most sketchy and suspicious looking) entrance, they magically built a park. Well.. no. It doesn’t work that way. You actually need to do something to having it called a park.
This is a park the same way a cat is an automobile. It’s got great bamboo however which is nice but the rest is just dirt. When I went someone had made a tent out of the bamboo and was living in it. So I guess someone has found the place suitable.
Trail to nowhere… avoid! I don’t know if this is in the city planning to build up in the future but what looks like the entrance of a nice hike is just that. It doesn’t go anywhere. You start walking and then you bump into this… definitely don’t recommend it.
Start of a lovely park but not quite ready for regular use. Amazing old growth pine trees over 100 feet tall. Infestation of bamboo that needs to go; it’s not a plant common to North Georgia and its aggressive like kudzu
Very small but great spot to relax and decompress. Very impressive and you wouldn’t think it’s in the heart of Buckhead. 4 stars because some trash needs to be removed
