I have been to parks in tracy, Stockton and Lodi and there are no dog parks around the tri-valley that can compete with this gem in such a dismal place like stockton that it was extremely surprising! The whole park is set up to cater to furry friends with a big dog section and small dog section along with a agility course that is to die for. The gates close well so no little pup can escape which is reassuring. The small dog section has plenty of grass and is adequate for their little size and there are benches in 3 different areas for owners to sit and enjoy the day. There are poop bags provided but there are owners that do not pick up after their dogs and that’s so disgusting and disappointing because they have no idea how much of a gem this park is is! So be careful if you step in the grass area. I noticed a water fountain area but I did not use it since I had read a review stating that it didn’t work so I didn’t risk it and I brought in my water bottle. There are signs that say no leashes on dogs but I have seen owners have their dogs leashed because of their aggressiveness. There are also signs stating no outside food but people will bring their food anyway, it didn’t bother me. The cutest artwork can be found in the small section with endearing quotes on dogs, love and friendship that will remind you that dogs are just too precious for us. The people here are friendly and will maybe strike up a conversation with you so I found that really nice of them. The agility course is so great and it allows for big AND small dogs to go in and use it. There are 2 benches there to allow owners to sit and take some shade. The only annoying part I found was that there are people who go in this section and stand around hogging the equipment or sitting on it even though their dogs have no interest in using it and there are benches for them available to use. The big dog section has ample space for their big dog needs so it looks a bit bigger than the small dog section. I noticed it has a picnic table and its next to the agility course providing enough distance between small dogs and big dogs which was pretty cool although I did see a small chihuahua barking nonstop all the way from their mini section.
The dog park itself is beautiful and nice for big dogs. But people keep bringing their dogs who are aggressive towards other dogs. If you have an aggressive dog who is aggressive towards other dogs please put a muzzle on them that’s the least you could do
Separate big and small areas. Aesthetically pleasing. Relatively friendly people. Many benches but can still get packed. Maintained. Triple gated which is really nice unless people don’t close doors behind them.
I have been taking my now 1 year old dog to this park since he was 5 months old we absolutely LOVE it! There’s lots of room for the dogs to run and play including a big dog area and small dog area. In the middle there’s a section with training structures. There’s ALWAYS poop bags however so many people don’t pick up after their dogs. ( I personally take the time to go around and pick up poop around the park) There’s water fountains for the dogs and lots of trash cans. Also I love that there are several different benches to sit and relax. The grass does get mowed maybe twice a month I would say. All the people and dogs I have met are awesome and very friendly! There has been 1 or 2 times where someone has brought there dog that doesn’t vibe well with others. I just leave or go on the other side of the park kind of depends on what is going on.
One thing I kind of wish the park had are bathrooms for us however that could follow with homeless or people destroying them so I am okay with no bathrooms. There is a Starbucks down the street for an emergency!
