Summit Park Dog Park is a popular dog-friendly destination located within Summit Park in Blue Ash, Ohio. Known for its expansive fenced area, this park provides plenty of space for dogs to run and play with others. The park sits within a larger community space that also offers pet-friendly trails, children’s activities, and accessible amenities, making it a great spot for the whole family to enjoy outdoor activities together. Picnic tables and a wheelchair-accessible entrance make this park convenient for both two- and four-legged visitors.
The dog park is valued for its wide, clean walking paths and the friendly local dog community. However, visitors note that the grassy areas can become very muddy after rain or snow, and shade is limited during certain times of the day. While the park’s maintenance has received some suggestions for improvement, it remains a go-to spot for dog owners seeking an off-leash area in Blue Ash. Enjoy pet-friendly hiking and relaxing walks in this welcoming suburban park!
Dog park was too muddy to let dogs loose. Dog park could use some more grass. Walking path around area was wide and clean. Fun area
It’s finally warming up, hopefully the grass will grow back and it will become less muddy. My aloof loaf can get out there and make friends.
The park is large , a lot of space for the hogs to run around. But it’s not maintained properly. The drainage is bad , it’s super muddy even days after one rain or snow. It’s like a swamp then. The authorities should spread mulch in there
This was a nice fenced in dog park, about 50′ wide and maybe 125′ long. It’s right with the really nice Summit Park, all of which was one a small airfield.
Sadly, the city is keeping up the people park, and letting the dog park go. The once nice grass is now weeds. Tennis balls can get lost in them, and then there is the mud after a rain. Disappointing now. We even drive farther to go to the much larger much nice park by Lunken airfield. Actually 4 parks, sorted by dog size, and reseeded on a schedule.
The dogs who come here are generally great. I’m happy to have a dog park close to where I live. I do wish there was more shade (at some times of day where ours no shade at all), and it gets REALLY muddy sometimes. Would be nice of it were either mulched or if there were two dog parks that alternated being open to allow the grass to grow back.
