Pleasant and peaceful, but very small, corner local park. The park basically memorializes Herbert Nickerson’s long service to the borough between 1957 – 1980. (See my photo of the plaque) Memorial plaques also exist for the Bicentennial 1776-1976 and the 50th anniversary of the first aid squad in 1991. The gazebo was erected in 1994 to celebrate Maywood’s centennial. There’s a nice flagpole and the grounds are well kept and nicely landscaped. No parking. You have to walk here. Located at the busy intersection of Passaic & Maywood Avenues.
