I visit the area frequently with the Bergen County Audubon society for field trips. It’s a great place for birdwatching.

If this were in Philadelphia or Boston droves of tourists would visit. Unsung location whose control was vital to Washington’s efforts to preserve the Continental Army as a force in being. Site contains pre- revolutionary home awarded to Von Steuben.

Nice park with access to the river and marsh. Short trails and nice places to stop and bird watch.

Very pretty water/ river. Lots of ducks and birds. There us a pretty little bridge over a trickling stream to reach the bigger River. The trees are very pretty and give alot if shade. The grounds were pretty muddy so it was a little slippery to walk. There us. It a ton of space for kids to run but it’s a pretty little stop to look at a beautiful sunset.

Great place to take a stroll by the river just make sure you visit while it’s hightide, it’s not as pretty when tide is low. If you are into history this place has a loads of it. The old house and barn are beautiful, few spots to fish.

If you enter from Clarence park there few things to see and learn about birds, many different species.
Treasure hunting is your thing then there’s are fun little hidden qr codes game, all around the park. you have to fine them all, answer questions and you get some kind of certification. Would be great fun for kids I’m sure.
