It’s a beautiful park and the perfect setting for our town concerts over the summer. There is a nice play ground.

This is a quiet little community park on the edge of Overpeck Creek, which is a tidal creek that meets the Hackensack River a short distance away. The Public Service Electric and Gas Company is right on the other side of the creek in full view and there are no bathrooms. Dogs are not allowed. Despite that, it is a very quiet and pretty park with a small community garden at one end and a very small playground at the other end. There are a few benches in the park for sitting and enjoying the view. In the summer there are free band concerts in the park. In the creek there are fish – I believe there’s a semi-permanent recommendation that they not be eaten due to pollution in the water – and ducks, geese, cormorants and egrets are frequently seen there. Red tail hawks and Cooper’s hawks are also frequently seen flying in the area, as well as the occasional eagle.
