Howard Dog Park is a spacious, well-loved dog park located at 1653 Wietor Dr, Green Bay, WI 54303. This pet-friendly destination features ample room for dogs to run and play off-leash, making it a favorite among local dog owners. The park is wheelchair accessible, offers plenty of shaded spots, and is noted for its clean and welcoming atmosphere. You’ll also find picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the park, perfect for relaxing while your dog plays with friends.
The park includes pet-friendly trails, open grassy areas for fetch, and convenient waste stations with poop bags and trash cans for easy clean-up. While there is no separate area for small or large dogs, and water is not provided on-site, the friendly local community and regular parkgoers help keep the space safe and clean. Be aware that after rain or during spring, some areas can get muddy. Howard Dog Park is also great for families, with kid-friendly hikes and a generally welcoming vibe.
I really really really want to give 5 stars. I love this park and it’s close to home for me BUT my husky mixed dog who is a runner was able to slip through the gate. I would love to pay for materials to fix the gate area so that dogs can’t slip underneath it and remain safe. If anyone knows who I reach out to please let me know.
Great little small town dog park! We love taking our English setters here to burn off some extra energy! Most people here are super friendly. Only a few flaws as I wish they would have an area where water bowls can be filled up for the dogs besides brining my own from home. Second, the fencing is starting to heave up from the frost coming out of the ground where small dogs can easily get under the fence and run away. We actually almost seen that today we’re a little dog got an underneath and started to run we’re a couple of people had to go get it. Other than that we will keep coming! Good job Howard!
This is a really nice dog park. It’s pretty big, but when it rains, it gets a little bit muddy.
It got pretty busy around 5 pm, which was great because our dogs love to play with other dogs.
All of the people we talked to were very friendly and all of the dogs were well behaved.
It seems like everyone cleans up after their dogs which is really nice – you don’t always see that.
Only downside is it’s a little bit hard to find.
I go here just about every day after work. There’s usually at least 1 dog there to play with. Part of the park gets pretty wet and forms something like a pond. So if it’s spring or just rained for the last week, you may need to wait a while for it to dry up if you really don’t want your dog to get wet. Other than that there is lots of space with benches and tables everywhere.
Roofus had a great time playing with the other dogs, although it was very hot, so he mostly just laid in the shade. The park itself is very clean compared to other dog parks I’ve been to. There are waste bag stations posted all around the perimeter fence as well as multiple trash cans to toss the waste bags into. There are several benches and tables to sit at while your dogs play and a porta potty in the parking lot. Just be careful about the old toys laying around the park, I’m not sure how clean they are so bring some pet friendly cleaning wipes if you think your dog is likely to pick up one of the toys.
